Mark Shipston is available to answer any questions you may have on the non-medical aspects of your health or treatment. If our service falls short of your expectations and you have a problem or wish to make a complaint we will give the following undertaking:
  • We will acknowledge your complaint, in writing within one working day
  • We will make a written response within one week
  • We will offer to discuss your complaint with the Practice Manager
  • We will offer you the opportunity to discuss your complaint with a doctor
  • If, despite our efforts, you think your complaint has not been dealt with adequately, we will advise you how you may pursue your complaint elsewhere

Practice Nurses are available for consultation by appointment Monday to Friday. They can help you with minor injuries, dressings, injections, ear syringing, blood tests, blood pressure checks, urine testing & cervical smears. In addition they run several clinics such as travel, asthma, and diabetes.
   
District Nurses provide nursing care at home for the housebound. The doctor or the hospital usually arranges this.
   
The Community Midwife cares for pregnant women. Antenatal clinics are held every Thursday between 1.00 and 4.00pm. Please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment. Mothers and new babies are visited at home.
   
The Health Visitor will give advice on health care for all ages especially for families with young children and can be seen at the surgery on Thursday at the Baby Clinic between 1.00pm - 4.00pm. No appointment is necessary.
   
The Counsellor is available for consultation only from referral by a doctor.
